It seems that Far Cry 7 may have already been teased to the world and most of us missed it.
It will come as no surprise that Ubisoft will be releasing a new Far Cry game at some point because, alongside the likes of Assassin’s Creed, it’s one of the publisher's most profitable properties. That being said, it’s still nice to get some sort of confirmation nonetheless.
Check out the Far Cry 6 trailer below!
The last game to be released in the series was Far Cry 6 in 2021 for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. However, despite recruiting the star power of Giancarlo Esposito (The Mandalorian, Breaking Bad, The Boys), Far Cry 6 received a mixed reaction. A common criticism was that it followed the series' tried and tested formula too closely.

It’s now been three years since the release of Far Cry 6, so it would make sense for Ubisoft to get the preparations underway ready for its next big release and it seems that time is nigh, at least according to a job list at its Toronto studio.
“This is probably Far Cry 7, right?” asked Redditor DooMBRiNGeR1975, sharing an image taken from a Ubisoft vacancy page. Amongst the listings for Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six and Prince of Persia, a team lead animator, animation technical director, senior gameplay animator, and technical designer are all required for an unannounced Far Cry project.

The listings give no in-depth details on the project, but it’s probably safe to assume that this could be related to Far Cry 7. That being said, until Ubisoft makes an official announcement, we are only left to make assumptions.
We’ll of course keep you posted once Ubisoft officially announces Far Cry 7 to the world, hopefully in the coming months or perhaps during Ubisoft Forward in June 2025.
