Fallout fans will soon have a new, dark and immersive world to explore in another post-apocalyptic survival game.
This time around though it’s an MMO, something Fallout fans have had a taste of with Fallout 76 and its many updates but not something Bethesda has fully embraced for the series like it did with The Elder Scrolls.
Speaking of Fallout 76 there’s a new update available now that lets you become a ghoul, it’s pretty cool
Anyway the game I’m talking about is called Pioner, a new trailer of which debuted last night during the Future Games Show, and instantly got Fallout and Stalker fans excited.

Pioneer’s description states it’ll drop players into “a vast, grim world, where survival hinges on exploration, crafting, and smart resource management. As an MMO FPS, it offers both PvE missions and intense PvP zones, with unique crafting mechanics, hundreds of weapons and a deep story to explore.”
It sort of gives me Atomfall vibes, another game that’s seen several comparisons to the Fallout and Stalker series.
The gameplay looks fantastic, with a massive yet detailed open-world to explore, plenty of weapons to play with and some interesting looking survival mechanics.
Even better is that you can play it with random people or your friends, so I’m excited to see what people make of it when it launches.

As for the release date, there currently isn’t one, but the game is scheduled to launch sometime in 2025 for PC players.
It will receive an Xbox and PlayStation version eventually but apparently that’ll come at a later date, but should make for some good crossplay fun.
Pioner is definitely one to keep on your radar going forward, especially if you’re a fan of games such as Fallout, Stalker and even Metro, I’ll be throwing it on my Steam wishlist in the meantime.
