The Fallout series is one of the most popular of its genre oozing with charm thanks to its sci-fi retro vibe and in the world of movies, the Terminator sci-fi franchise is a cult classic each with its legion of loyal fans.
So, what if we could blend the worlds of Fallout and Terminator into a stunning new horror game, that would be an absolute treat for sci-fi fans, right? If that sounds like you’re cup of tea, then the upcoming title The Forever Winter might just tickle your fancy. Speaking of Terminator and horror, there’s a Terminator horror game in development right now.

At this time, we can only enjoy the cinematic trailer for The Forever Winter, but it certainly provides us with enough vibe for the upcoming game developed and published by Fun Dog Studios and its coming to PC via Steam.

Fun Dog Studios is an indie studio at heart, but with a team of 30 industry veterans with AAA experience big things are expected of The Forever Winter. Furthermore, other than tingling my Fallout and Terminator senses, The Forever Winter also gives me vibes of the post-apocalyptic series Metro from 4A Games. By the way, a sequel to Metro Exodus is also in the works.
“The Forever Winter is a co-op tactical survival horror shooter where you and your squad must loot the dead to survive under the shadow of terrifying and gargantuan war machines locked in a never-ending conflict,” reads the synopsis for the upcoming title.
The Forever Winter does not have a release date but it is set to launch on PC. There is no mention of a PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S release at the time of writing. Hopefully, it will come to consoles because The Forever Winter has certainly piqued my interest and perhaps it has for you too. You can however wishlist it on Steam to be notified of its launch.
