Fallout fans urged to mark their calendars for 6 March

This could help scratch the itch

Fallout 5 isn’t set to land anytime soon. That’s a painful truth we’ve all accepted.

After all, Bethesda is hard at work on The Elder Scrolls VI and possibly even a second expansion to Starfield too.

That being said, it’s not all doom and gloom for us Fallout fans.

The second season of Prime Video’s TV adaptation is in the works, and Fallout 76 will soon allow us to play as a ghoul for the first time.

If you venture outside of the franchise though, you may find similar titles that help scratch the post-apocalyptic itch.

In fact, Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is such a title. Due to enter early access on 6 March, this is a game that should hugely appeal to Fallout fans.

Take a look at Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone in action below.

Developed by The Farm 51, Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone drops players into an enormous, realistic open world filled with hordes of “nightmarish creatures”.

Trapped in the Chornobyl Exclusion Zone, you’ll assume the role of planewalker which essentially is a skill that allows you to switch between various character skill sets.

Perhaps in one instance, you require a heavy melee build but in another, it’s best that you’re a ranged sniper specialist. That’s where the planewalker mechanic comes in.

You can play the title from either a first or third-person perspective and, of course, you’ll also be tasked with the usual post-apocalyptic fare of building a base and gathering supplies.

And if you don’t want to play alone, there are co-op missions available so buddy up with a friend!

As I mentioned, Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone launches on Steam in early access on 6 March.

A full release date is not yet available although when the game does launch in full, it should do so on console as well.

If you’re craving Fallout 5, this could definitely help satiate your appetite.
