An Elder Scrolls fan believes that Hammerfell is being teased as the main location of The Elder Scrolls VI, but is it?
It’s starting to feel like Bethesda has been trolling us with its next entry in the popular fantasy RPG series. The Elder Scrolls VI was announced at E3 2018 and in a few months, that announcement will be seven years old!

At this point, we know practically nothing about the next Elder Scrolls game, other than it’s going to be released at some point. We have no official launch window, story details, setting or platforms it will be released on.

Now that the Starfield expansion, Shattered Space is out of the way, we can only hope that Bethesda will release The Elder Scrolls VI next. That being said, it might be safe to assume that it won't arrive until the next generation of consoles.
“I think this Bethesda post from a while back definitely teases Hammerfell as the next setting and also subtly gives the hint that High Rock will not be featured as the province. It’s completely covered by a log. Probably purposefully done, so that people may get the hint High Rock won’t be featured,” they speculated.
Sadly, the link to the map that this Reddit user mentions has been deleted but the question remains, will The Elder Scrolls VI take place in Hammerfell or somewhere else entirely?
Along with High Rock, Hammerfell is one of the locations that has been speculated most since The Elder Scrolls VI was revealed in 2018 and while this seems an obvious location, not everyone is convinced.

“I think you’re overthinking it. The focus of the map is Skyrim. Yes, there is partial Hammerfell - but that’s how maps work,” replied Algorhythm74. “If you show the United States - you’ll see parts of Canada and/or Mexico. And I certainly don’t think they were trying to signal places the next game won’t be, like High Rock.”
“While I believe Hammerfell to be the most likely location, this post is probably meaningless,” beiszapfen claimed. “Yes, there is a candle on Hammerfell but there is also one in the Sea of Ghosts. This post may have hidden meaning but I don't think it is that deep. But we will find out in four years or so.”
“The most relevant clue is not the map, but rather what the tweet says about the map. “Transcribe the past and map the future." with a candle placed on Hammerfell,” said InT0ddWeTru5t.
“Bold of you to assume TESVI will ever happen,” joked Donut_6975.

Hopefully, Bethesda will put us all out of our misery soon and reveal some new information about The Elder Scrolls VI, perhaps a new trailer at Summer Game Fest in 2025? Only time will tell.
