The Elder Scrolls VI fans have grown frustrated over the potential release date of the upcoming fantasy RPG, that’s assuming we get to play it at all.
Bethesda announced The Elder Scrolls VI during E3 2018, nearly seven years ago. Seven years and at this point, Jon Snow could claim to know more than we all do.

It’s been that long since the initial reveal with little to no information, that some fans are even questioning whether Bethesda will release The Elder Scrolls VI. I think just to be safe, we could rule out the game being released in this generation.

With that in mind, fans on Reddit have been discussing when we might get to play The Elder Scrolls VI. I just hope that we’re all still alive when that time comes, if not, we might want to invest in a cryo-chamber.
“Prediction: We aren't getting TESVI this gen,” declared Not_a_creativeuser. “Hear me out. Since Bethesda is Microsoft-owned and it has apparently talked about making TESVI an Xbox exclusive, it might use this to its advantage.”
“The PS5 outsold the Xbox Series X and Series S by a huge margin. It wasn't even close,” they continued. “If The Elder Scrolls VI is a launch title, Microsoft might think more people would be directed towards its platform. My guess is 2027/2028 or later.”
“Did anyone assume otherwise?” Nathan-David-Haslett replied with Eldritch50 adding “I never assumed we'd be getting it on current gen.”

“It will either be the tail end of this generation or the beginning of the next, and anyone who expects the game earlier than that is... well, I salute your optimism and wish that I could share it,” said Plathismo.
The Elder Scrolls VI will be released whenever Bethesda deems it ready.
