A surprising but seemingly accidental tease has been announced early for a companion in the upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI to the excitement of eager fans.
At this point, the release of The Elder Scrolls VI has become somewhat of a meme recently following Bethesda’s announcement at E3 2018. Despite being over six years since we were treated to its announcement trailer, we’ve had very few official details on the next entry of the popular fantasy RPG series.

It’s been that long since the announcement of The Elder Scrolls VI that fans believe Bethesda revealed the game too early. After all, we’ve not had a release date, gameplay trailer or platforms confirmed at the time of writing.

Some fans are even concerned that The Elder Scrolls VI could end up being a next-gen title and by the looks of things, that’s looking increasingly likely. That being said, hopefully, Bethesda will reveal new details in 2025 but I won't be holding my breath.
However, as shared on Reddit, during an ‘Our Flag Means Death Q&A’ panel at GalaxyCon, San Jose 2024, actor Vico Ortiz may have confirmed they’re voicing a companion in the highly anticipated RPG. “You’ll probably hear me a lot in a video game called The Elder Scrolls. So, if you want to be my companion, I’ll be your companion,” Ortiz teased.
It’s perhaps worth keeping in mind that a specific entry in the series wasn't mentioned, so it could end up being an NPC in a yet-to-be-announced expansion for The Elder Scrolls Online. Yet, it’s not outside the realms of possibility that Victor Ortiz will be voicing a character in The Elder Scrolls VI.
As always, we’ll keep you posted should we hear of any new information on the development progress of The Elder Scrolls VI. In the meantime, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can play The Elder Scrolls Online, Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim at no extra cost.
