Elden Ring is one of the most popular and challenging RPGs in recent years and if you’ve been scratching that FromSoftware itch lately, the upcoming Deathbound has you covered.
It’s been nearly two years since Elden Ring was released for PC, PlayStation and Xbox in February 2022. Announced in 2023, we do know that its highly anticipated expansion Shadow of the Erdtree is on the way, but as of yet, we still do not have a release date. However, if recent rumours are to be believed, Shadow of the Erdtree might be released very soon.
Check out the Deathbound trailer below!
“Embark on a crusade through a medieval world forged from the ruins of technology where fanatical faith and unnatural science clash in the shadows of a crumbling society. The Church of Death stands at the gates of the grand city of Akratya,” reads the description of Deathbound on the Steam store.
Advert
“Their banners raised, righteous steel in hand. Their holy conquest to eliminate the Cult of Life is about to begin…amongst it all stands you. You are no one, yet everyone, the results of desperate experimentation in the pursuit of Eternal Life. In the eyes of the Church, an icon of sin and heresy. To others, validation of their relentless experiments. You stand in a world where there is no good nor evil, only justifications.”
In Deathbound, you won't be fighting the forces of evil alone, as you will be accompanied by a party and be able to switch between characters seamlessly to fight the good fight. You’ll not only level up and customise your play style, but your team will also adapt alongside you. What’s more, it’s said that “each party member’s affiliation in life will affect their synergy in death.” That certainly sounds very ominous.
At the time of writing, a release date has not been announced for Deathbound, but you can add it to your Steam wishlist so that you will be notified of its launch. We’ll also keep you posted should we hear of any substantial updates on this new and intriguing RPG.
