Fans of Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy have something to look forward to in the upcoming year with the arrival of a MMORPG built in Unreal Engine 5.
Due to complete development in the second half of 2024 and hopefully released soon after, ArcheAge 2 is an upcoming MMORPG from South Korean publisher Kakao Games. Since being hit with a delay during 2023, the PC and console release was first announced back in September 2022 and fans were treated to a gorgeous trailer two months later.
The first look at the action-based combat got fans excited for the sequel whilst reminding them of much-loved RPGs such as Elden Ring and Hogwarts Legacy. ArcheAge 2 will also focus more on a single-player storyline than its predecessor did, but still assures fans there will be exciting multiplayer elements.

Not much is known about ArcheAge 2’s story but we do know it will be set in the same world as ArcheAge but will see players explore a different timeline. Additionally, it will feature action-packed combat, an immersive storyline, AAA-tier visuals via the Unreal Engine 5 engine, non-linear progression in an open-world, an enhanced Trade Run System, improved player housing and customisation and the ability to create player towns with your Guild.
The first official trailer does give us more information about the world as we see a variety of stunning environments including turbulent seas, vast mountainscapes, sunlight-soaked valleys and bustling villages. We also see our first look at some of the characters you will meet along the way whose models have vastly improved since ArcheAge.
