It’s no surprise that so many people are convinced that FromSoftware’s Elden Ring will nab 2022’s Game Of The Year title. Earlier this year, we were in Elden Ring mania. Every other day, someone was completing a wildly fast speedrun or defeating a boss in an ingenious way.
One player beat the game in just two and a half hours without taking damage or levelling up. Another beat Margit using a harp, plus there’s the player who figured out how to make one boss self-destruct. It would be wrong not to give the legend that is Let Me Solo Her a shout out too. Just when we thought all was said and done, one player has now defeated the game’s hardest boss at level one using a dance pad of all things.
Take a look at some of our favourite Elden Ring wins and fails below.
Twitch streamer missmikkaa has officially defeated Malenia at level one using just a dance pad after more than 553 attempts that took over 15 hours. That is dedication. Tweeting about the achievement, the streamer wrote, “I DID IT! I killed Malenia LEVEL ONE with a DANCE PAD! It took me 553 tries and over 15 hours. I only used four healing flasks on the kill. I CAN'T BELIEVE IT.” Four healing flasks? Impressive. Take a look at the missmikkaa’s win below.
If you know anything about Elden Ring, you’ll know that defeating Malenia is not an easy task although one player has done so 1,000 times. There’s also a fun mod which sees Malenia destroy all the other bosses because we know it’s what she’s capable of.

Describing her build, missmikkaa said she used, “Scavengers Curved Sword with cold infusion and Bandit Curved Sword with blood infusion (Seppuku). For talismans: Radagon Soreseal, Ritual Shield, Dragoncrest Greatshield, Lord of Blood's Exultation. For flask I had Greenburst (stamina regen), Thorny (consecutive atk power).” Fancy taking this feat on?
