No matter how much we love a game, sometimes that love can eventually dwindle and the long-running Call of Duty series is no exception. In particular when it comes to popular content creator, Dr Disrespect.
Since the series' inception in 2002, the Call of Duty franchise has been one of the most famous and lucrative video game series ever. Even when a game launches below expectations such as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, it can make publisher Activision a bucket load of money with record sales.

A lot of content creators have made their name playing games such as Call of Duty by live streaming to the masses on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. One such content creator is the aforementioned, Dr Disrespect real name Herschel Beahm IV.

The Dr (not a real Dr) has had a closer relationship with the Call of Duty series more than most content creators as he was once a community manager for Sledgehammer Games from 2011 to 2015. During that time, Sledgehammer Games released Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2011) and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare (2014).
Despite making his name from the likes of Call of Duty, Dr Disrespect is no stranger to calling out his frustrations on the franchise. Such as in 2023, he called Warzone 2 the worst Call of Duty ever and he called out the series for only caring about skins and not gameplay. Now, the Dr has called out Call of Duty once more for allegedly not even trying to make good games.

“Did Call of Duty give up on itself? It's so terrible,” he tweeted this week. Sure, there is little context here, but it is apparent that he’s questioning the quality of the series, seemingly suggesting that little effort goes into making good games. At the end of the day, on some level, he may be correct to say so but I doubt he’ll stop playing the game anytime soon and miss out on that streaming revenue and sponsorship deals.
The latest game to launch in the series is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III for PC, PlayStation and Xbox. At the time of writing, the 2024 Call of Duty entry has not been announced by Activision.
