It’s been quite the eventful week for Dr Disrespect, full name Herschel Beahm. Just a few days ago, players tore into the streamer’s new FPS and now, The Doc has accidentally broken character after losing money to a fan.
In case you missed it, Dr Disrespect recently co-founded his own game studio, Midnight Society, which is set to release a vertical extraction shooter called Deadrop. The streamer claimed it would actually rival Call of Duty. This week, an early tech demo dropped and as you may have guessed from my preamble, players weren’t impressed. In fact, one went as far as calling it a “miserable experience”. Admittedly the game is only in the pre-alpha stage, but it’s not the best start. To add to The Doc’s woes, he’s now broken character.
Take a look at some of our favourite streaming wins and fails below.
As reported by Dexerto, Dr Disrespect broke character after losing money to a fan. It’s not the first time he’s let his chaotic performance slip but everytime it does happen, it’s certainly a memorable moment for viewers. In a recent stream, one viewer won $100 from a bet involving a single golf shot. The Doc was playing PGA Tour 2K23 and matched up with a player he’d played with before.

During a round at Pebble Beach, The Doc set a wager. He said, “If you knock this down, I’ll give you $100 right now,” which is exactly what the opposing player did. As the ball dropped into the hole, he replied, “You promise? Doctor!” in glee. The Doc could be seen looking off-screen for a few minutes before regaining composure where he then carried on with the round. He clearly wasn’t expecting to lose the bet.
Dexerto then reported that the stream only got worse. The Doc kept on chipping into the water and eventually rage quit the game. If the experience taught him anything, it’s that PGA 2K23 really isn’t a game he should be placing bets in. Better luck next time, I suppose.
