It's not often we get a cyberpunk slice-of-life sim, usually it's all action, foul mouths and edgy dialogue. However, this RPG which is due to launch in 2024 looks like it will bring something entirely new to cyberpunk worlds... cosyness.
Nivalis is a neon-drenched cyberpunk city where "gangs want to harvest your organs, the corps will fine you for breathing, and the whole time, the ground under you feet is crumbling."
What if Cyberpunk 2077 but with fishing?
The city of Nivalis is falling into the ocean, so it's time to make some money. According to the Steam page for the game, this will stand out against other recent cyberpunk titles because it will offer players more of a life-sim. Something that will possibly even border on wholesome.

This is your chance to manage restaurants, buy and grow ingredients, or explore the city with your own boat and take in some fishing. Is this Dave the Diver and Stardew Valley meeting with Cyberpunk 2077? Nothing sounds better than making friends and discovering the love of your life in a city that looks like it would usually be rife with sin.
Starting small is the name of the game, but soon you "own the night" and become a business magnate, owning various slices of the city. The cityscapes here look truly gorgeous, built from voxel graphics; sprawling up as well as outwards, the rain-soaked streets bounce the neon lighting making for a beautiful scene.
Coming exclusively to PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Nivalis really seems to be challenging the idea that Cyberpunk has to be gritty and violent. It really has to be seen to be believed and will likely appeal to all kids of gamer, especially those who already go in for life-sims with the promise of love and creating a business.
