Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II certainly stands apart from the crowd, and I don’t wholly mean that as a positive. We’re so used to hearing about games released in a poor state finding later success. Cyberpunk 2077 is the perfect case study. Of course, there are also the games that release in a poor state and remain stuck in a poor state. On the other hand, Modern Warfare II was a colossal success upon release but seems to have fallen heavily out of favour.
Modern Warfare II had the most successful Call of Duty launch of all-time. Fans fawned over the game’s new anti-camping tool on top of praising the “incredible” campaign. In recent weeks though, fans feel that devs have paid more attention to Warzone 2.0 with some players even threatening to boycott the game over its lacklustre updates. It does appear as if Infinity Ward are trying to remedy this issue though as the ‘Season 2 Reloaded’ update is on the way and to celebrate, Modern Warfare II will be free-to-play for a limited time.
Take a look at Modern Warfare II in action below.
