There are few games more deserving of a sequel than 2006’s Bully, and yet it’s still not happened.
Many, many years have passed since that fateful release, and in all that time, fans still haven’t given up on the hope that Rockstar could be working on a follow-up. First released on the PS2, it was (and still is) an iconic title.

Back in 2019, it was reported that Bully 2 was actually in development for some time before it was ultimately scrapped. Despite that, last year, one prominent insider claimed that something is still happening with the series, but who knows at this point?

Well, a new interview with an individual who claims to be Bully 2’s former project lead may certainly hold some answers. Speaking to YouTuber SWEGTA, the supposed dev, whose identity has been kept completely anonymous, claimed that they worked on the game in 2013, and that the sequel was going to take place the summer after the first year at Bullworth Academy.
“Story beats-wise, they already had, I wanna say 16 missions. The missions that I played were like, you had to rescue kids from like a summer camp - Kamp Krusty-style,” they explained, referencing the well-known season four episode of The Simpsons.
Apparently, six to eight hours of the game were playable when they were working on it, and it was a “pure sandbox” experience. “You had go-kart races, you had lawn mower efficiency - sort of like you gotta mow lawns under time constraints. So like all the minigames you have in GTA but in a cooler, Goonies, and like weird, y’know, Americana summer vacation-style.”

Of course, all this should be taken with a very generous pinch of salt. Assuming it's true though, we can only hope that somewhere out there, Rockstar might still be holding onto the remains of this project so that it can be brought back some day.
