Rocksteady is ready to bounce back.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League was a flop pretty much everyone saw coming.
Releasing a live-service title as a studio known for its incredible single-player experiences was always going to be a risky strategy.

If you ask me, the writing was on the wall ever since that Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League State of Play was held in early 2023.
Nobody seemed interested in the game which, of course, proved to be true when it launched a year later.
But Rocksteady is now returning to its single-player roots with a brand new Batman game.
There’s no word on whether it’ll follow on from the Arkham Trilogy or if it’ll kickstart a new series.

Insiders claim that the game will be inspired by Batman Beyond in terms of its storytelling but that still doesn’t really narrow things down.
One fact we do know about the game is that it’ll be developed using Unreal Engine 5, as revealed by new jobs at the studio.
Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League remains playable offline if you really want to try it.
Despite the failure of Suicide Squad, fans are hyped by the tease of a new project from Rocksteady.

“Can't wait for this. A return to form I hope,” wrote Reddit user secretsaucebear.
“Arkham Beyond PLEASE,” added luftgeist-.
What I will say is that Rocksteady has always used Unreal Engine so the fact that they’ve graduated to UE5 isn’t exactly shocking news.
Still, I suppose sticking to what’s worked in the past is perhaps a good sign.

It would be wrong to paint a picture though where everybody is hyped.
Fair to say, many have lost a lot of trust in the studio in recent years.
“Hopefully they learned from their mistakes,” said PapaYoppa.
“Let's see how much they botch this one,” added an even more critical -PVL93-.

No pressure then, eh?
