Now, before we get into the details here, it should be noted that there hasn’t been any official word from Warner Bros. on the future of Batman in video games, however, this little tease points to huge possibilities.
A job listing has been spotted on the Warner Bros. website for a Senior Core Engine Programmer at Rocksteady Studios, and it has many thinking we’re returning to Arkham.
The Batman Arkham trilogy of games is loved by millions
The role in question will be for a programmer well versed in Unreal Engine 5, to work in the London studio.

Of course, there is no mention of Batman, or superheroes, in the job listing, aside from a line reading, “When we say, “the stuff dreams are made of,” we’re not just referring to the world of wizards, dragons and superheroes, or even to the wonders of Planet Earth.”
However, rumours have been swirling for many months that Warner Bros. is primed to announce a new entry in the Batman: Arkham franchise, bringing Rocksteady Studios to their area of expertise.
Previous games in the series were built on Unreal Engine, and if this role points to the next game, it would mean that development would skip Unreal Engine 4 completely.
It could, of course, point to the next Rocksteady game appearing on the next generation of consoles, seeing as development would still be in very early stages.

Fans have, for years, wondered when we’d next venture into the Arkham universe, and while there’s no confirmation as yet, this could be a pointing towards some new Batman adventures.
The previous games in the franchise were all major hits with fans, as well as being critically acclaimed, so a return feels like a done deal.
We will keep you updated on any movement from Warner Bros. and Rocksteady Studios and keep our hopes high that a return of The Dark Knight is on the cards.
