The Baldur’s Gate 3 developer Larian Studios is reportedly working on two new games, though Baldur’s Gate fans will be disappointed.
Despite winning 2023’s Game Of The Year award, selling millions of copies and just generally being a perfect game, it seems Baldur’s Gate 3 could be the last game in the series, at Larian Studios that is.
Have you watched the new Fallout show, want to try the games but don’t know where to start? Well have we got a video for you below!
Developer Larian Studios has hinted at expansions to the game in the past, and occasionally drops a new update with additional features and changes to quests/gameplay.

Unfortunately though, it seems Hasbro will be shopping the D&D IP around to other studios which means no Larian-made Baldur's Gate 4.
With that in mind, Larian Studios has confirmed it has not one, but two new projects currently in the works, both of which will be brand-new IPs for the company.
While specific details weren’t shared, Larian made a community update post on Steam which said, “After six years in the Forgotten Realms and much discussion and rumination, we’ve decided to seize this opportunity to develop our own IPs.”
The post went on to say: “We’re currently working on two new projects and we couldn’t be more excited about what the future has in store."

Again, there’s no telling what these new games could entail, though from the sounds of it, Larian doesn’t fancy taking on any existing franchises for a D&D style adaptation, a shame because a Fallout game in the style of Baldur’s Gate 3 would be phenomenal.
Nevertheless it seems like good things await for fans of Larian Studios, it’s just a shame that we’ve got no new Baldur’s Gate 3 content to look forward to in the meantime.
