With two new Avengers projects seemingly in the works, it appears as though an iconic character is set to make their debut in at least one of them according to a very cryptic post.
We already know that Ryan Reynolds is officially set to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in the upcoming movie Deadpool & Wolverine but a recent cryptic post by the actor himself may just mean that this is just the start of his journey.
Check out the official trailer for Deadpool & Wolverine ahead of its release next month!
Deadpool & Wolverine hits cinemas in just a few weeks on 26 July and this will be the first time Deadpool enters the MCU. Of course Deadpool itself was released in 2016 and the character was known even before that in 2009’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

However, the upcoming movie which he will star in alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine will be his proper introduction to the world of Marvel.
Although it seems it won’t be his last as Reynolds took to his personal Instagram account to share a cryptic post: a looped video featuring the Avengers logo on a blue flag rustling in the wind.
However, at closer inspection, it is clear that somebody has tagged the flag with an anarchist symbol and we can take a guess at who it is.
Of course many fans now believe this to be proof that Deadpool will be starring in the upcoming Avengers 5.

Avengers 5, as it is currently known, is set to arrive in 2026 after being delayed by Marvel back in June of last year.
This movie will mark the next direct sequel to The Avengers series and will arrive before Avengers: Secret Wars which will be released in May 2027.
Not too much is known about these projects so far but we do have reports that Scarlett Johansson will be reprising her role as Black Widow in at least one of them.
