GTA 6 pre-orders are quietly going live as we speak

Considering the biggest video game of all time is launching this year, we know scant details about it, including the actual release date, and even the price.

I am, of course, talking about GTA VI. We’ve only had one trailer for the upcoming Rockstar Games release, and that was over a year ago.

Despite this, some retailers are opening up pre-orders, likely to gauge anticipation and ensure that when stock allocation opens up, they can get their hands on enough copies.

While you might be eager to pre-order the game for yourself, this opportunity is only available to those in Malaysia.

Gamers Hideout now has a pre-order option available on their website, plus customers can head into stores and put their money down for a copy of the game.

Some gamers have found that the store has fake boxes for the game on the shelves, and you’re able to take it to the counter, put down a deposit of RM14.90 (around $3 USD) and secure your copy.

Of course, until Rockstar Games unveils more details, we likely won’t see any pre-orders open up in Europe or America.

We’re hoping that more announcements are on the way - it’s hard to plan time and money for such a monumental release without anything to go on.

Rockstar Games are very much winging it with the marketing on the latest Grand Theft Auto, relying on word of mouth and hype, for now.

As 2025 winds on, we’ll get another trailer and a price, as well as a firm release date.

Until then, retailers may start offering chances for players to register their interest in the title, while you save your pennies.
