Elden Ring quickly became known as one of the greatest games of all time when it launched in 2022. Developed by FromSoftware, known for its influential Dark Souls series, the game’s world and story were co-developed with Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin, and its game design and exploration opportunities rapidly sent it to the top of many all-time lists.

This year its expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree, finally dropped, attaching another whole game’s worth of content to the main title. As with the base game, the expansion has been lauded as one of the best ever made, to the point where it’s up for Game of the Year at The Game Awards 2024 despite the fact it’s not a standalone title.

Right now, you can grab the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree Collector’s Edition at the Bandai Namco Store for £150.99 down from £224.99. With a huge additional part of the Lands Between to explore, an onslaught of challenging boss fights, and far more secrets to uncover, this is the ideal way to return to Elden Ring. FYI, this bundle doesn’t include the base game, which is required to access the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion.

Included in the Collector’s Edition are the Shadow of the Erdtree expansion itself, a figurine depicting Messmer the Impaler, its main antagonist, a hardcover artbook depicting concept art and more, a digital copy of the artbook, and a digital download for the game’s soundtrack.

At Amazon the Collector’s Edition has a ton of positive reviews across the PlayStation and Xbox versions. “Beautiful statue and arrived well-packaged,” said a five-star review. “You have to fill out an online form for the art book as per the email before the game was released but it arrived within a couple weeks so no complaints.”

“The figure and art book (which arrived separately later) are all great quality but a very high price. I love Elden Ring and this DLC though so I can’t complain too much!” said another happy customer. A third simply said: “Everything was perfect.”

However, some customers have been disappointed with the Collector’s Edition’s overall value: “The figure itself is OK but not really worth the price. In my opinion, the figure included in the collectors edition of the base game looks much better.”

Another said: “The statue looks great, however, the base is pretty poorly made. I have had to fold pieces of paper to put underneath it to stop it from wobbling, kind of like you do with an uneven table.”

If collector’s editions are a priority for you, check out this £189.99 preorder option for the upcoming Indiana Jones game on Xbox. For those who are just looking for an expansive role-playing game in an immersive world, £28.99 for the Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition is a total steal.

But, if commemorating your love for Elden Ring is a priority, be sure to snap up the Shadow of the Erdtree Collector’s Edition while it’s discounted.
