When it comes to value, you can’t go much wrong with services such as PlayStation Plus and Xbox Game Pass regardless of the tier that you subscribe to.
Obviously, the higher the tier that you pay for, the more games and additional perks that you’ll have available. Yet, when it comes to this recent PlayStation Plus inclusion, it’s yours on the lowest Essential tier, and it’s quite literally one of the biggest games you’ll play today.

The game in question is WWE 2K24, the latest pro wrestling grappler from developer Visual Concepts and published by 2K. However, if you want to claim this game at no extra cost, you need to act fast because it leaves the service on 5 November. That said, with it being on PS Plus Essential, once claimed, it will remain in your library with an active subscription.

In my review of WWE 2K24, I said: “It looks gorgeous, has a stacked roster, tons of fun modes and so much replay value that it might not even warrant purchasing next year's game.”
At launch, WWE 2K24 had over 200 playable characters. Granted, some of those characters were variants but it’s still a huge roster nonetheless. What’s more, you can also unlock additional playable characters for free by playing its MyFACTION mode as well as entering free locker codes that regularly get shared on the WWE 2K social media channels.
If you’re willing to spend money, well over 20 additional characters are included in the game's season pass which features the likes of CM Punk, Jade Cargill, and The Dudley Boyz to name a few. However, the Bray Wyatt (who sadly passed away in 2023) DLC pack is not included in the season pass, so it’s worth keeping that in mind.
As a massive pro wrestling fan, WWE 2K24 is a fantastically fun game to play and even includes loads of modes such as the ‘40 Years of WrestleMania’ Showcase, MyGM where you compete against other players running flagship shows such as Raw and Smackdown, the Universe mode which allows you to book matches, an extensive creation suite, and much more.

In terms of how WWE 2K24 plays, it features in-depth gameplay mechanics that can resemble a simulation if you’re willing to dive deep enough. It’s also very easy to pick up and play, regardless of your skill level. WWE 2K24 is also a blast playing with friends whether you’re a pro wrestling fan or not.
That’s why I can wholeheartedly recommend checking out WWE 2K24 on PS Plus before it leaves the service next month. After all, if you’re already a subscriber, you’ve got nothing to lose.
WWE 2K24 is out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
