Xbox exclusive launch on PlayStation is "imminent" claims insiders

A new port is incoming

In this modern era of gaming, exclusive console titles don’t really stay exclusive for long and that is the case for one of the best racing games on the market.

According to a recent rumour, Forza Horizon 5 is set to leave Xbox exclusivity and make its way to the PlayStation 5.

This news comes courtesy of information from multiple insiders that reveal Forza Horizon 5 will be getting a PlayStation port and it will be revealed during next week’s Gamescom event.

For example, insider Shinobi revealed that a “big” Xbox title is set to get ported next week.

Additionally, fellow leaker NateDrake said: “As far as when their next Xbox game for PS5 announcement timing is concerned, I’d speculate we’ll hear something soon”.

The 2021 racing game will be the next title to be ported as part of Microsoft’s “experiment” to bring Xbox titles to other consoles.

This follows Sea of Thieves leaving Xbox exclusivity back in April and heading to the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

As a result, it became one of PlayStation’s best-selling games which can only mean the experiment is going well and therefore will encourage even more ports.

As for Forza Horizon 5, it has gone on to become one of the best racing games on the market since its release almost three-years ago.

As a result, it sits at an 8.2 user score on Metacritic with fans praising its fun racing gameplay and hyper realistic graphics.

“History repeats itself as Playground Games once again delivers one of the best open world racers you'll ever play,” one review read.

It remains to be seen if Forza Horizon 5 will be arriving on PlayStation in upcoming weeks but it is guaranteed to get a much-deserved resurgence in players if it does.
