One of the Xbox Series X/S’s most beloved exclusives is no longer a Microsoft-only title, as the developers have just announced that a PlayStation 5 port is on its way.
As revealed on the official Forza website last night, a PS5 port of Forza Horizon 5 will be landing on the system sometime in “spring”.
“With nearly 900 cars available in the game, over 40 thematic game updates, two expansions, and so much more content, our team is excited to announce that this spring, PlayStation 5 players will be able to explore Mexico’s beautiful roads and experience the Horizon Festival for the first time as we are officially launching Forza Horizon 5 on PS5,” Playground Games announced.

The port of Forza Horizon 5 is being developed by Panic Button, who previously worked on porting titles such as Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus to the Nintendo Switch and Forza Horizon 4 to the Xbox Series X/S.
Playground Games also assured players that Forza Horizon 5 on PS5 “will have the same content as the Xbox and PC releases of the game,” including “previously released Car Packs, as well as the Hot Wheels and Rally Adventure expansions”.

In a Twitter post covering the news from @Wario64, Xbox fans don’t seem particularly thrilled at the announcement.

“Xbox nuked their brand,” replied user @HubBandar.
“Sell your Xbox as soon as possible,” commented user @madcap412, “very soon you're not gonna be able to get 50 bucks for it.”
No exact date has been given beyond “spring” for the port’s release, but you can already head over the PlayStation Store page for Forza Horizon 5 and wishlist it as we await further updates.
Honestly, it is a bit surreal just seeing the PlayStation Store page for a Forza game. Now I just want to see a PlayStation Store page for Fable 4 go up and I’ll die happy.
