Set in the same Wizarding World as Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter, Hogwarts Legacy is finally here and fans get to experience a world like no other.
However, as we already know that Hogwarts Legacy shares the same world as Fantastic Beasts and Harry Potter, but when is it set?
For starters, Hogwarts Legacy is a prequel to the Wizarding World as we know it. So where in the timeline does it fit? Well, the Harry Potter franchise is set in the early to late 1990s. Whereas Fantastic Beasts is set during the 1920s.

While we do not have an exact date, Hogwarts Legacy is set during the 1890s, a good 30(ish) years before Fantastic Beasts and around 100 years prior to the events of Harry Potter.
In Hogwarts Legacy, you play as an upcoming student during their fifth year at the school. It is said that the player holds the key to an “ancient secret that threatens to tear the wizarding world apart”. So, no pressure then. However, while destiny may be set in stone, how the player chooses to fulfil that destiny, well, that is entirely up to you.
In relayed news, while not labelled as a multiplayer game, it seems that you can play with friends in Hogwarts Legacy after all, kind of.
What’s more, social media boycotters have claimed that buying the game is an “ugly look” in response to the hurtful comments made by J.K Rowling's comments towards the trans community.
