Confirmation of Hogwarts Legacy 2 has not only been given but it's also teased when the next game is set.
Harry Potter fans have been confident in their assumption that a sequel was coming for some time now, however, this is the first official chatter we’ve received from Warner Bros about the game.
Previous teasers have appeared online, yet none of them has helped quell the concerns of a fandom fearful of live service tainting the experience.

To say the fandom has been divided on this matter is an understatement.
Though, while they’ve ummed and ahhed about what could be, fans have been united over their lack of awe regarding the new Harry Potter title.
Take to the skies in Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions
Decidedly unimpressed by the latest outing, this sequel update is the kind of news fans need to get them hyped once more.

Following the launch of Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions, Warner Bros is now focusing its efforts on a direct sequel to Hogwarts Legacy.
As reported by Variety, Warner Bros CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels said, “Obviously, a successor to Hogwarts Legacy is one of the biggest priorities in a couple of years down the road.”
This year hasn’t been that positive for Warner Bros – need we mention Suicide Squad? - and thus the brand is eager to recuperate from that “miss”.
Financial matters aren’t what gamers are concerned about, though.

For the Redditors digesting this Hogwarts Legacy 2 update, they’re interested in finding out more about what another year at Hogwarts would be like.
“Direct sequel with our character(s) in their Sixth Year maybe?” suggested ryucavelier.
“It just makes too much sense,” replied SirBulbasaur13, “It’ll speed up development time as well, they’ll be able resume much of the previous map. I do hope they add more locations and update the castle itself though. It’s a magic castle, it changing doesn’t seem outlandish.”
Expectations are set high for this sequel, especially when it comes to including more exploration and immersive elements.

However, for some fans, all they want is less skimping.
“Let's hope they do not skimp on what they originally planned again,” commented Moondiscbeam, seemingly referencing all the content that was left unused.
We’re all getting ahead of ourselves, though. For now, we have to go on is a vague setting and timeframe for when the sequel will happen.
