Nintendo has officially announced plans to turn The Legend Of Zelda into a live-action film, with fans already pitching casting choices.
The recently announced Legend Of Zelda film will be a collaborative effort between Nintendo and Sony, with Avi Arad, best-known for the Sony Spider-Man films, set to produce.

It obviously isn’t the first Nintendo film, as the company is still relishing the success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, though that one was fully animated whereas Zelda will be using real-life actors and sets.

It’s certainly an odd choice given the art style of the games, and the live-action concepts shared over the years have tended to be received poorly by fans, but if Nintendo is at the helm it might just work.
That’s basically all we know about the film so far, with Nintendo promising more details will be revealed closer to the film’s release date, but that hasn’t stopped fans from theorising what it could look like or more importantly who will star in it.
As for who will be playing the beloved Princess Zelda, fans are calling for Hunter Schafer to take on the role, citing her appearance and acting prowess as the perfect combination for such a famous video game character.
Hunter Schafer is known for her role in Euphoria, as well as the upcoming film The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

One fan said: “There’s only one answer for Princess Zelda and that’s Hunter Schafer.”
Another added: “If Hunter Schafer isn’t Princess Zelda they can keep it.”
Then one more said: “I will not accept anyone other than Hunter Schafer to play Zelda in live action btw.”
There’s also been fierce debate as to who should play Link, with top picks being the likes of Tom Holland or Timothée Chalamet.

It’s currently unknown when we can expect the film to be released, as production hasn’t actually started yet.
