One of Nintendo’s most famous artists, Takaya Imamura, has weighed in on an actor he’d like to see in the live-action Legend Of Zelda film.
The Nintendo Cinematic Universe has officially begun, with the Super Mario Bros Movie and now the live-action Legend Of Zelda movie to follow.
Many have already criticises the decision to go down the live-action route, believing animation like the Mario movie had would have been a better option
Not much is known about the Zelda film but like any upcoming adaptation fans are already speculating who could play some of the lead roles, with actors like Tom Holland thrown around for Link and Hunter Schafer as Princess Zelda.

However an unexpected fan-cast has come from Nintendo artist Takaya Imamura, who wants to see his favourite character Tingle appear in the film.
Takaya Imamura provided artwork for some of Nintendo’s biggest games, like Star Fox and most notably Zelda: Majora’s Mask, my personal favourite.
Tingle is a character in that game who asks as the map-seller, and is comical for being an ordinary guy who believes himself to be a fairy.
In a recent interview with VGC, Imamura said “the Zelda movie has been announced, so I’m really curious as to whether Tingle is going to be in that or not. From my perspective, I would really love him to appear.”

When asked if he had anyone in mind for the role, Imamura said “Masi Oka, you know the TV series Heroes? The Japanese character who goes ‘yatta!’, I’d like him to do it.”
Whether Tingle does appear or not remains to be seen, as it’ll likely depend on if the film follows some of the classic games or newer titles like Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.
Production on the live-action Zelda film is yet to officially begin, so don’t expect it to come out anytime soon.
