Star Wars' most underrated sequel character teases their return

We'd love to see her return

The Star Wars sequel trilogy was a patchy few years for the franchise, with opinions scattered all over the place.

Some love the first two films, others only enjoyed The Force Awakens, while a few fans think The Last Jedi is a masterpiece (I’d say all Star Wars fans agree the third film is trash).

By the end of the Star Wars sequel trilogy, many characters were sidelined

One of the biggest crimes of the sequel trilogy was its underuse of great, new characters who brought with them a new energy.

Many who were introduced were sidelined because somehow Palpatine returned, or because of fan backlash.

One such character was Rose Tico, who found herself buddied up with Finn as the trilogy wore on.

Played by Kelly Marie Tran, her role was diminished, and her inclusion was slept on, despite bringing with her a great attitude, and a fun character to boot.

Tran has recently commented on her possible return to the galaxy far, far away, during the promotion for her new film, The Wedding Banquet.

In an interview with CBR, she was asked about a possible return, and replied, “I have so much love and gratitude for that universe and that world.”

She went on to say that she spoke to her newest co-star, Lily Gladstone, about Star Wars, saying, “Lily [Gladstone]'s a big Star Wars fan as well. We've talked about it.”

Tran remains a huge fan of Star Wars, and notes that, “It has such a warm place in my heart, just that whole universe, and that entire experience. And I don't know the context to which things would have to fall into place for Rose to return, but I will say that I just love that world.”

Rose could very well make an appearance in the follow-up film that will see Daisy Ridley’s Rey rebuilding the Jedi Order, as it’s a chance to bring some of the cast together again.
