Star Wars fans are hyped over the potential of a new sequel movie.
Without question, Star Wars is one of the most popular properties in all of entertainment, whether it’s TV and film, video games, comic books, merchandise and much more. That being said, despite its popularity, that doesn't mean it’s going to hit a home run every time.

Despite the original trilogy being held in high regard, at least when it comes to movie and TV productions, Star Wars has been a bit hit and miss in recent years, especially following Disney’s ownership. However, a new George Lucas-influenced sequel movie might be what this beloved series needs.

As reported by FilmStories (thanks sw_holocron), a new Star Wars sequel movie based on the Jedi Order is being influenced by the franchise creator George Lucas. This may come as welcomed news by veteran fans who feel that recent productions have lost their way from Lucas’ vision of Star Wars.
Screenwriter on the upcoming project George Nolfi said: “If you think about George Lucas, the six movies that he did, and the universe that he created, it’s very steeped in broad notions of politics. It’s not talking about today, per se, but there’s the Empire’s Nazism/Roman Empire.”
“The democracy of the Roman Empire collapsing and the perennial story of human beings organising themselves against chaos, and then the tools that help human societies tamp down on chaos become oppression,” he continued.
“That is really very core to what I think George Lucas was trying to talk about. One of the wonderful things about science fiction and Star Wars – which is almost science fantasy or space opera – is that you can raise the deepest issues without it feeling like a philosophy class, a political science class, or something I read in the newspaper today. It can be about real, deep things.”

“Oh please god, this had better mean we’re actually gonna get to see the political state of the galaxy post-The Rise of Skywalker,” said Twitter user EmperorD4C.
“So we might get a bigger and better understanding of the galactic scope post Episode IX,” replied a hopeful 1776TSA.
“Where the hell was this dude in 2015?” asked flyin_casual.
Whether this will be the Star Wars movie that many fans hope it will be, only time will tell. As always, we’ll keep you posted when we learn more.
