Star Wars fans are praising the new adaptation of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, the worst film in the franchise by far.
I’m sorry but I don’t think The Rise Of Skywalker has any redeeming qualities whatsoever, the only part I actually smiled at was when Lando returns but the rest just felt pointless.
If you’re a fan of the ninth Star Wars film though don’t let my opinions ruin it for you, to each their own
That said, the choppy story is made partially better thanks to adaptations in the Star Wars comics, adding new scenes, context to certain character decisions and reveals, as well as a better insight into what our characters are thinking and feeling.

Issue two of five came out last month and it’s caught the eye of many fans for its better storytelling, with one Reddit user saying they’re a “bit late to the game, but I just picked up issues 1 and 2 and am really enjoying this adaptation so far! I love that we can actually see Rey's dark visions--I think it helps make the stakes feel more real than when we just hear her talk about her visions like she does in the movie.”
Others loved the context it provided to some of the scenes in the film, like one who said they “REALLY hope that extra page with Leia and Maz was implying the medal Maz gives to Chewie at the end of RoS was one of Leia's.”
Finally one fan said “Enjoyed it once again! The artwork was great, but not as good as issue 1 imo. I like the story but still felt sections of this were too fast paced. I especially loved that force lightning scene and the Zorii/Poe rooftop scene.”
If you haven’t read them yet they’re worth checking out, especially if you’re one of the many fans who took great offence to Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker.
