Star Wars just answered a mystery that's bugged us for 44 years

Well, that makes sense

If there is one thing the Star Wars universe has, its mystery, which is why almost 50-years after the first movie was released, we are finally getting some answers.

Spanning almost 50-years and including multiple live-action and animated movies as well as television and video game spin-offs, there is no denying that the Star Wars universe is one of the biggest of all time.

Which is why it is unsurprising that there have been a few mysteries and plot holes over the years, especially if George Lucas has anything to do with it.

One such mystery surrounds our favourite little green Jedi Yoda and a mystery that originated 44 years ago with Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back.

During the movie, Yoda claims that “there is another” after Luke abandons his Jedi training despite Obi-Wan reminding him that he was their last hope.

However, Yoda reveals that this is not true and in fact there is another who is also capable of defeating the dark side.

Despite years of theories and rumours, it has now been officially revealed who the person Yoda was talking about actually is.

Drum roll.

It was Princess Leia herself.

This bombshell comes courtesy of LEGO Star Wars: Rebuild the Galaxy, a four episode TV show which takes place in an alternate reality.

Princess Leia herself features in the show and remains “a good guy” despite the show regularly swapping characters from the good side to the dark side.

However, Leia is unaffected by this which proves even more that she is indeed “another” who is capable of prevailing over the dark side.

According to one of the showrunners Dan Hernandez, Leia remains a force of good no matter her part in the story.

So there you have it, the mystery has been solved almost 50-years later.
