The upcoming third Sonic The Hedgehog live-action film is “one for all the real diehard fans” according to Idris Elba.
I don’t think anyone thought a few years ago that Sonic The Hedgehog of all characters would get a successful film franchise, but as a Sonic fan myself, I couldn’t be happier.
Video game adaptations have actually never been better, with Fallout in particular taking audiences by storm. Check out GAMINGbible’s interview with the cast below.
Now fans are patiently waiting for his next big-screen adventure, Sonic The Hedgehog 3, which will follow Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles facing off against the nefarious Dr Robotnik for a third time, who’ll once again be played by Jim Carrey.

However, they’ll also have a new foe to contend with, the ultimate life form Shadow The Hedgehog who’s on a journey of vengeance against humanity. Shadow will reportedly be played by Keanu Reeves.
Now Idris Elba, who voices Knuckles in the films and a spin-off TV series, has said the upcoming film is one for “diehard fans” in a recent interview with Collider.
When asked if he has anything to tease or talk about regarding the upcoming film, the actor said: “I can tell you that it's super exciting. I can tell you that it really does get deeper into the universe of Sonic. I think 3’s probably the one for all the real diehard Sonic fans . They're gonna get all of those Easter eggs in it.”
Something the previous two films did exceptionally well was tell a story for new and old fans alike, whilst including plenty of secrets only those who played the games will pick up on, and it sounds like the next film will be no different.
