Red Dead Redemption fans are divided over who should play a live-action Arthur Morgan in a TV or movie adaptation.
For a series as beloved as Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption, it makes sense that fans would love to see more of its wonderfully crafted Western world whether it’s Red Dead Redemption 3, a movie or a TV adaptation.

Whether we get a live-action movie or TV series remains to be seen, but it’s perhaps safe to assume that Rockstar Games will release Red Dead Redemption 3 at some point after GTA VI or at the very least, we hope so.

If we were to get a live-action Red Dead Redemption, as reported by ComicBook, The Witcher and Superman star Henry Cavill has thrown his name into the casting hat and fans are divided over that prospect.
“Henry Cavill wants to star in a movie adaptation of RDR2. I’m curious as to what you all think about this kind of casting,” asked Redditor uscdoc2013.
“I don’t know if he’s the Arthur I would have picked, but they could certainly do worse,” replied Bitemarkz.
“I can see it. He might have to lose some muscle though. Arthur isn't puny but Cavill is quite literally built like Superman,” suggested Ok_Purpose5200.

“I don't see him as Arthur. I think he could be better as Dutch,” said InternationalAnt7993.
“Read Dead Redemption just works so much better as a game, it really is the best media for the story. A movie wouldn't do it justice,” exclaimed anonymoose0702.
At this point, Henry Cavill starring as Arthur Morgan is a mixture of speculation and fan casting but if it were to happen, I wouldn't be against it. That being said, I agree with InternationalAnt7993 that Cavill could be a better Dutch van der Linde.
Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2 are out now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
