The legendary Sir Michael Caine has shared the secret to a long and healthy life, as well as the touching reason why he’s still going at 90 years old.
Sir Michael Caine has starred in several beloved film franchises over the years, like The Dark Knight trilogy, Inception and of course, The Italian Job. Impressively, his acting career has been ongoing for 70 years, with the star appearing in over 160 films.

Despite recently turning 90, Caine has no plans on slowing down, and recently spoke with the Mail on Sunday to share what keeps him going, as well as his secret for ageing gracefully.

Speaking about his daughter and grandchildren, the actor said: "You want to live forever to see what they do with their lives," revealing his family as a major inspiration.
He then shared the secret to sticking around for as long as possible, saying: "Younger wives, no snacking and wearing trainers all the time … and you have to be careful not to fall down."
Odd advice to say the least, but you don’t often make it to 90 years of age without picking up some sound life advice so it’s probably worth hearing him out.
Caine married his current wife, Shakira Baksh, in 1973, with the couple going on to have their daughter and have happily been married ever since. The story of how they got together is rather sweet as well, with Caine spotting Baksh in a modelling magazine, before tracking her down and starting his relationship with her.

The star’s most recent film is called The Great Escaper, which sees the actor play a WW2 veteran who sneaks out of his nursing home to attend a 70th-anniversary commemoration of the D-Day landings in Normandy. The film is set to release on 6 October 2023.
