It has been two years since this new Spider-Man project was first announced and despite a brand-new look at it, fans are feeling unimpressed.
First announced back in 2022 and set to be called Spider-Man: Freshman Year, this brand-new animated show has since been renamed to Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man.

Fast forward two years and we have received a new look at the show thanks to New York Comic Con in the form of a piece of artwork.

The artwork shows off Spidey in his homemade suit as he swings through the streets of New York.
He appears 3D in comparison to the 2D onlookers and this animation style is set to be a unique one for the Spider-Man series.
In Marvel Animation’s Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, we once again meet our favourite web-slinger on the start of his journey to becoming a hero.
Therefore, he will be joined by some familiar characters such as Otto (Hugh Dancy), Norman (Colman Domingo) and Aunt May (Kari Wahlgren) to name a few.

With this new piece of artwork being our first look at the show in quite a while, you would think that fans would be excited.
However, some have been left feeling unimpressed.
“Not huge on the 3D look but my biggest question is animation quality,” one comment read.
“The style suggests it’ll either be very impressive or sincerely awful without much in between.”

Another said: “This series looks very good, but I still don't like Peter's suit.”
There is still no release date for the premiere of Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man but it is expected to arrive on Disney+ over the next few months.
Here’s hoping these potential viewers will be left feeling impressed when it finally airs.
