We’ve got our first glimpse of Spider-Man actor Nic Cage from the set of Spider-Man Noir, which is currently shooting. Fans are torn about the image.
To be honest, you can’t really get much of a vibe from the released photo, as it’s just Nic Cage kneeling and appearing slightly beaten.
Ghost of Yotei is a follow up to the hugely successful Ghost of Tsushima from Sucker Punch
However, while fans are commenting, it seems few of them even knew much about the show before the image appeared.

Spider-Man Noir was always destined to be Nic Cage in the role, reprising that from the Spider-Verse films, and it was announced to be live-action months ago, yet many are shocked this isn’t an animated show.
One Twitter user said, “Why isn’t this animated? Why does Sony keep doing stupid things?”
Despite picking up the role - which is a change from the comics and shows an older Spider-Man - and doing a great job in the Spider-Verse films, one fan writes, “Cage? Lmao they must be desperate bringing this guy out of the woodwork.”
The confusion continues with others wondering how Cage will look for the rest of the show, saying “Please tell this isnt his costume for most of the series.”

Given that he’s seen wearing a long black coat and dress trousers, I think it’s unlikely, eh?
Another fan jumps in to defend the attire, “He’s Retired so it won’t be a while before he finds the suit again. Like, imagine the noir comics took place before the show.”
Thankfully, there are some positive comments on this first look.
Another Twitter user says, “This is gonna be so good, I’m so happy they actually cast Nicholas Cage.”

There are some who seem excited to see what comes of this. While Cage’s performances over the years have been spotty at best, he still has an Oscar on his mantelpiece, so this could be something great.
