The state of the Marvel Cinematic Universe flip-flops between “it’s so over” and “we are so back” on an hourly basis, but it’s fair to say that the future is looking a little brighter at the moment than it has in a couple of years at this point.
We’ve got a new Spider-Man film on the way, the Fantastic Four are finally getting an MCU movie next year, and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil is going to be back on our screens in March 2025.
Recent releases have been pretty well received too, like Deadpool & Wolverine and Agatha All Along. The next two films in the pipeline, Captain America: Brave New World and Thunderbolts*, also look like they have the capacity to be bangers.

Well, the good news doesn’t stop there - because according to its director, Moon Knight could his way back into the MCU if we’re lucky.
We haven’t heard much about Moon Knight following his 2022 self-titled mini-series, but its director Mohamed Diab seems relatively optimistic about his future.
In a recent interview with Deadline’s Melanie Goodfellow, Diab was asked about Moon Knight’s potential return and whether or not the director was in talks to return to any MCU-related projects in the future.
“You never know – with Marvel nothing is called finished. There could be a film, or he could go into another universe,” Diab told Deadline.

“Right now nothing is in talks but definitely with Moon Knight, I would love to be involved in anything else and it could happen for sure. I have a great relationship with them.”
Although this doesn’t confirm any future Moon Knight-related projects, it does mean that (should Marvel choose to pursue a new film or show with the character in the future) Diab would more than be happy to come back for any potential projects.
