Marvel fans are excited at the possibility of a fifth MCU movie starring everyone’s favourite God of Thunder, Thor.
The son of Odin, the mighty Thor, is without question one of the most popular Marvel characters spawned from the ever-vibrant world of comic books that made a successful transition to the silver screen, perfectly portrayed by Chris Hemsworth in the MCU.
Check out the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer below!
In terms of solo movies, the last time we saw the God of Thunder was in 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder. For the most part, that movie was okay in my opinion, but it leaned too much into comedy for my liking, a sentiment shared by Chris Hemsworth.

To put things into perspective, 2017’s Thor: Ragnarok scored 93% from critics and 87% from the audience on Rotten Tomatoes. The next movie in the franchise, the aforementioned Thor: Love and Thunder, scored just 63% from critics and 76% from the audience.
There’s still a lot of love for Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and understandably, fans are not only hyped for Thor 5 with many also hoping that the character plays a prominent role Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
“George Miller reportedly met with Kevin Feige to discuss directing Thor 5,” tweeted MCU Film News, sourcing the Twitter account worldofreel. “The meeting was arranged by Chris Hemsworth, who recently starred in Miller's Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga.”
It’s certainly an exciting prospect that George Miller could be directing the next Thor movie and working with Chris Hemsworth once more. However, rumours should be taken with a pinch of salt until proven otherwise.

“Hemsworth probably won’t do another unless Feige picks who he wants to direct,” claimed Redditor Djjettison88. “It sounds like he loved working with George and who in their right mind wouldn’t want a George Miller visioned film for Thor’s next adventure?”
“I don’t know about the source but the fact it said that Hemsworth himself set it up sounds like it could be legit. I’d love to see Miller do a Thor film,” said trentjpruitt97.
“Hercules vs. Thor, directed by George Miller? Hell yes. Do not fumble this Marvel,” declared a joyous ChronicChoof.
“If they let him cook, this movie would be awesome,” replied WGoNerd.
