Thanks to an official confirmation from Disney itself, we now know for certain that Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and Tom Hiddleston’s Loki will be back together again in a live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe film next year.
Last night, Disney treated us to something truly special: a five hour long live stream of chairs.
Even though the live stream actually started out with Chris Hemsworth’s name, it wasn’t until the half way point that the hundreds of thousands of viewers got the confirmation they’d been hoping for since it began; Tom Hiddleston is officially joining Avengers: Doomsday.

Thor was a bit of a given, so starting out with Hemsworth wasn’t much of a surprise. The Avengers are going to need some solid muscle if they want to overcome Doom after all.
Loki is much more of a surprise however. Ever since Tom Hiddleston’s role as the character became contained to the Disney+ series Loki, nobody has really known when they’d opt to reintroduce the two brothers again– especially since the last time Thor saw Loki was when Thanos snapped his neck.
Over on the Twitter post marking the reveal from the official @Avengers account, fans were thrilled to hear that the two would finally be reuniting.
“The sun will shine on us again brother... can’t wait for Thor and Loki to see each other again,” commented user @TheJloading.

“I swear to God if we don't get a Thor and Loki reunion in this movie, I am going to be mad!” replied user @Shadow33317.
I think what’s interesting about the two meeting again is that, technically, the Loki that Thor knew truly is dead. They never had that heart-to-heart that repaired their relationship, and, unlike Thor, Loki never had to mourn the loss of his brother.
Although saying that, unless Avengers: Doomsday is four hours long, I’m not sure how they’re going to be able to fit all of this into one film considering all of the other reveals in the live stream…
