Previously just recognised for his work in the latest blockbuster, Keanu Reeves has made a name for himself in gaming over recent years mainly thanks to his performance as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077.
Now despite the fact that Reeves has been acting since 1984, his popularity shows no signs of decreasing with the Canadian actor and musician set to star in two upcoming movies: Ballerina and Good Fortune.
Check out Reeves in action with the official trailer for John Wick: Chapter 4 below!
However, there is no denying that Reeves is perhaps best known for his performances as both John Wick and Neo in The Matrix.

Now it seems as though fans have another role in mind for him and you guessed it, it’s a much-loved role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Ghost Rider.
Up until now, Ghost Rider has been played on the big screen by Nicholas Cage in the 2007 and 2011 movies of the same name.
However, it now seems as though some fans think the mantle should be taken up by none other than Reeves in any upcoming MCU adaptations.

The discussion kicked off over on r/MCUTheories which one post reading:
“Do you guys think Keanu Reeves should be Ghost Rider? (I know he was in Agents of Shield as another character but I’ve heard a lot of people saying Keanu Reeves should be cast as him).”
It is quite surprising that Reeves has not yet starred in the MCU but this post soon sparked a debate over which character he should play if he was to do so.
“I want him in the MCU. I'm not sure if Ghost Rider would be the best choice. He has been talked to many times about different roles,” the top comment read.

Another said: “I would prefer Norrin Radd/Silver Surfer for Keanu. Also, he would make an excellent Victor Freeze in the DCU.”
It seems as though the general consensus is that Reeves would be better suited for another character with fans preferring to see actors such as Norman Reedus, Carl Urban or Pedro Pascal sport the fiery skull.
However, with this all just speculation, we never know what the future holds for the MCU and Reeves himself.
