Marvel Studios has a new Doctor Strange as the character makes his first TV appearance in years on Disney Plus.
This Doctor Strange has a new look and is actually animated, as he appears in Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man.
Marvel Studios is set for a packed 2025 on Disney Plus
While the new iteration of the character isn’t voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch, who plays the sorcerer in the live-action MCU, fans still seemed overjoyed with this incarnation.

“Aw, I love him,” said one enthusiastic fan in a Reddit thread showcasing the new look for the magic-wielding hero.
They continued, “A nod to his more classic comic look.”
Others are commenting that this Doctor Strange looks a lot like Clark Gable “as Gomez Addams, tbh. And I'm not complaining btw.”
The whole show is a throwback to Jack Kirby’s classic illustrations, and it’s clear to see in Doctor Strange who features more of a slicked hairstyle and jaunty moustache.

“I'm so happy to see THE REAL DOCTOR STRANGE,” said Saahir26.
While the overall look is going down well, some are a little unsure on that ‘stache.
“His moustache looks like it's about to take flight. I'm not sure why they used Salvador Dalí as the inspiration here,” said kellydabunny.

It’s definitely a different feel for this iteration of the Marvel legend.
You can catch Doctor Strange and a plethora of other cameos in Your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man, currently showing on Disney Plus.
The show covers the early years in Peter Parker’s life and each episode will see him tangling with classic villains, all while getting help from the wider Marvel universe.
Hudson Thames voices Peter Parker in the show and will also appear as Spidey in the upcoming Marvel Zombies, an R-rated animation focusing on horror aspects of the MCU.
