Marvel fans are excited to hear Black Panther is returning for Avengers: Doomsday, amongst other returning favourites.
Yesterday Marvel dropped a surprise livestream on us to announce the cast of Avengers: Doomsday, which is now officially in production.
It’s what the last few Marvel films have been leading up to, and even some Thunderbolts characters will be returning for the fight
The livestream dropped a new name for the cast every 15 minutes or so and basically confirmed the Fox X-Men are coming to the MCU…

Amongst the names though there was Letita Wri, who plays Shuri aka our new Black Panther ever since Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Letita Wri took over the role after the tragic passing of Chadwick Boseman, with his MCU character T’Challa passing away in-between films to explain why the torch had to be passed.
Fans were excited to see her return to the role, with one X user commenting: “I’m glad Letitia is coming back for this, last I checked she wanted to quit her acting career to pursue her role in a church ministry but I’m glad she’s here to reprise Shuri once more.”
Other comments echoed the same passion, like one that said “Shuri HOLY W” and another that read “Let’s gooo Shurii!!” with a picture of her suited up.

It’s unclear right now what exactly Shuri’s role will be in the upcoming film, or how exactly all these characters are going to end up together, as there’s a very bizarre mix on display here.
My bet is some sort of multiversal catastrophe that splits our heroes into different teams/groups/universes, and I reckon we’ll probably see the origins of that by the end of Fantastic Four: First Steps.
For now though, we patiently wait for more news, and can rest easy knowing Avengers: Doomsday is finally in production.
