Marvel fans are fascinated by a potential crossover event in the MCU that could see X-Men vs Avengers in live-action form.
There have been many iterations of the X-Men getting into fisticuffs with the Avengers and it seems that in this year's Deadpool & Wolverine movie, Hugh Jackman’s character may have hinted at a live-action crossover. What’s more, the MCU crossover of X-Men vs Avengers has been teased by Marvel boss, Kevin Feige.

Deadpool and Wolverine as an MCU event is something that fans have waited years for and according to the audience's Rotten Tomatoes score of 95%, it was well worth the wait. As you might expect from a Deadpool story, the recent movie is packed with pop culture references and of course, mentions of many Marvel characters.

I am about to go into spoilers for Deadpool & Wolverine, so you have been warned. There’s a line in the movie when Wolverine says ‘F’ the Avengers. This implies that Logan has a very rocky relationship with Iron Man, Captain America and co, which should come as no surprise.
This line could have been a throwaway statement but fans on Reddit think that there may be more to it. “If Hugh Jackman returns in the upcoming Avengers films, I hope they give some details on why he hates them,” said Redditor phantom_avenger kicking off the discussion on the thread.

“He’s usually in the middle of any mutant or X-Men vs Avengers conflict, So I’m guessing he just doesn’t play with others once it gets too complicated,” suggested EddieBlizario. “After all, Wolverine is loyal, so he would hate being caught in the middle and would just go Madripoor to avoid the conflict, but trouble often knocks on his door”
“A big part of the perpetual conflict between the Avengers and the X-Men is that the Avengers are never around when mutants are being threatened or harmed by anti-mutant terror groups, but when normal humans are in danger there they are,” said BrightPerspective.
“Actually, it's more that the X-Men are never grateful when the Avengers save the world, and by extension mutants, from annihilation and whenever the Avengers do try to directly help, the X-Men get mad at them anyways,” replied Puzzleheaded_Log9378. “It got so bad that even other X-Men started pointing out how ungrateful mutants really are to the Avengers”
At the end of the day, it would be awesome to see X-Men and Avengers team up and have conflict once in a while in the MCU. It hasn't happened yet, but now that the X-Men movie property is owned by Disney, anything is possible.
