Marvel fans lose it as Shang Chi star posts potential sequel teaser

Marvel fans lose it as Shang Chi star posts potential sequel teaser

A teaser that's easy on the eye, just saying

The Multiverse Saga has been, let’s say, shaky.

In part, that’s perhaps due to its lack of direction. The saga has, so far, been without any Avengers-style team-ups, which can help various storylines feel more congruous.

There’s also the fact that Kang has proved to be a rather underwhelming villain, easily dispatched by those who’ve faced him so far.

Things are beginning to turn around though.

Both Deadpool & Wolverine and Agatha All Along have proven to be immense successes, while Robert Downey Jr.’s casting as Victor Von Doom has injected renewed hype into the MCU.

One thing that The Multiverse Saga has done exceptionally well though is introducing us to a host of incredible new characters.

From Ms. Marvel to Moon Knight, there are plenty of faces I’m hoping we’ll see again.

Shang-Chi is another such example.

Brought to life by Simu Liu, the character hasn’t been seen since the launch of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings in 2021.

ICYMI: The first trailer for Thunderbolts* has now arrived. Take a look below.

A sequel to the film is yet to be announced but it’s assumed that one is coming.

Star Liu has been teasing as much for years now, but fans think the main giveaway lies on the actor’s social media platforms.

Liu recently posted a topless photo to Twitter, showing off his impressive physique.

It’s the caption I want to draw your eye to though.

It reads, “Prepping” with the side-eye emoji.

Many have taken that to mean that Liu is preparing to commence filming on the long-awaited sequel, bulking up to once again take on the Marvel role.

“Hopefully Shang-Chi 2 is incoming,” wrote one excited fan.

Shang-Chi sequel?” asked another.

A sequel does feel like a no brainer. Shang-Chi is, in my opinion, one of The Multiverse Saga’s strongest films.

It’s magic-heavy final act could’ve done with some sharpening up but that’s okay.

Franchises need space to grow. Let’s hope a real announcement isn’t too far away.
