Marvel fans lose it over first look at MCU rematch we've longed for

Marvel fans lose it over first look at MCU rematch we've longed for

We're crying, shaking, throwing up

This kind of MCU showdown is the stuff dreams are made of for a lot of Marvel fans.

Much like when we first caught a glimpse of Deadpool teaming up with Wolverine, there are certain partnerships, and rivalries, we long to see play out.

Sadly, we don’t always get our wish.

Will Venom's Last Dance be as wild as this rematch?

However, Marvel fans have been able to take a look at a MCU rematch of legendary proportions. Their only gripe is that it didn’t take place on the big screen.

During Avengers: Endgame, many iconic moments flashed before our eyes as we sat on the edge of our seats, waiting to see how those beloved heroes would turn such chaos around.

But there was one fight we never got to see.

Originally, a rematch between Thanos and Hulk was meant to be a part of the film; it was a way for Hulk to repay Thanos for the fight they shared during Avengers: Infinity Wars.

Despite being one of several initial ideas that eventually got cut, it’s one of the more gutting revelations to be revealed in Marvel Studios: The Art of Ryan Meinerding book.

The storyboard of the fight was shared on Twitter by MCU - The Direct.

We can all agree that the battle looks epic, not to mention satisfying for Hulk to get his chance at settling the score between the two mammoth characters.

In the words of one fan, “We were robbed.”

Twitter user manof2moro shared this sentiment, saying, “We were robbed has never been a more true statement.”

Few fans can understand why such a scene was cut from the film, especially when it feels so perfectly fitting for the dramatic, climatic final battle.

“A lot was missing from that final battle. It was cool but too short,” argued @Theo_G_S_.

The fandom’s pain continues unfortunately, for there’s other disappointing news circulating online.

A new Spider-Man 4 update isn’t what fans wanted to hear, and now there’s a sense of unease about what the film will involve.

At least with the Thanos and Hulk rematch concept art, we got to see the fight take place even if it wasn’t how it should have played out.
