Who would win in a battle between Hulk and Thanos? It might not be a question you’ve asked, but if you have, you’re soon to discover who the victor would be.
On paper, perhaps it seems obvious that Thanos would win.
After all, having seen the level of devastation he caused during Avengers: Infinity War, it feels like a safe bet.

However, looks can be deceiving, as Marvel fans are soon to learn in the first issue of the Incredible Hulk Annual.
What will happen in Venom: The Last Dance?
For those of you who only watch the Disney films (there’s no shame in that), it’s worth explaining at this juncture that the Infinity Stones in the MCU differ from the comic ones.

What is more, the Incredible Hulk Annual is one of several chapters in the ‘Infinity Watch’ plot.
This should go without saying, but spoilers are coming.
The Marvel Comics Infinity Stones have connected with human hosts instead of other heroes, which in turn has caused some to use the powers bestowed upon them for evil.
One such individual is Worldmind.

Using the Mind Stone, they attempt to control Thanos. Sadly for Worldmind, this ends with him getting a hole through his chest, and Thanos claiming the stone for himself.
In a bid to protect itself, the stone calls for aid, and low and behold, Hulk shows up.
A fight ensues, during which it seems as if Thanos has dealt a lethal blow that will kill Hulk for good.
However, there’s a surprise twist.
Advert
Hulk is able to come back from a snapped neck to attack Thanos from behind.
So, Hulk is the victor?
Not quite. You see, while Thanos is once again distracted by Hulk, Colleen Wing, who Worldmind attempted to recruit as their bodyguard, now possesses the Mind Stone.
Seizing her chance, she thrusts her sword into Thanos' head, leaving Hulk to deal a blow that KOs Thanos.
Advert
Hulk, or should we say Colleen, has won this round.
Of course, that isn’t to say the villain won’t be able to recuperate and defeat Hulk when next they meet.
Anything could happen. Though in another issue, of course.
