Marvel just spoiled a major MCU death in the dumbest way

Yeah, they're definitely cooked

Thanks to a pretty obvious slip-up from Disney, we now know exactly who will and who won’t survive the next live-action Marvel Cinematic Universe film– and it seems only one character won’t be making it out alive.

Last night Disney and Marvel gave us a five-hour-long live stream that slowly and painfully revealed every actor who will be appearing in Avengers: Doomsday, but a specific omission straight up just spoiled who is going to die in the live-action MCU film before it.

The cast list revealed included almost every single actor that's set to star in Thunderbolts*, which more than implies that the team will play a bigger role than we expected in Avengers: Doomsday.

The list for Avengers: Doomsday included Sebastian Stan's Bucky Barnes, Florence Pugh's Yelana Belova, Wyatt Russell's John Walker, Lewis Pullman's "Bob", David Harbour's Alexi Shostakov, and Hannah John-Kamen's Ava Starr… which means that Olga Kurylenko's Taskmaster was intentionally left out.

Over on Culture Crave’s Twitter post discussing the news, fans didn’t seem too surprised to learn that Taskmaster won’t make it through the events of Thunderbolts*.

“Taskmaster should’ve died in Black Widow,” commented user @Syndrome2769.

“But she’s definitely dying in Thunderbolts. Trailer shows someone getting yeeted from the tower, my money is on Taskmaster.”

“She’s definitely not surviving Thunderbolts,” replied user @Spensieri.

“And with all the multiverse nonsense, maybe we can get a comic accurate Taskmaster pop up sooner or later.”

The trailers for Thunderbolts* have been extremely light on Taskmaster content, with some even theorising that (as Disney has done several times before) the few shots she was included in have been altered specifically for the trailers.

It would be kind of weird if everyone survived the events of Thunderbolts*, so I’m not surprised someone isn’t making it out alive. I am surprised they’re set to have such a huge role in Avengers: Doomsday, though.

Although saying that, Bob might genuinely be one of the few people strong enough to actually stop Doom.
