The future of Black Panther in the MCU has been addressed by a Marvel Studios boss.
When Chadwick Boseman passed away in August 2020 following a battle with colon cancer, it not only hit his friends and family hard, but also impacted the entertainment industry as a whole.

I can remember not long after his death, news of his charitable work came to light across social media. Something Chadwick Boseman kept quiet during the height of his fame, presumably not wanting to gain public recognition, which gave us a small inkling of what a selfless person he must have been.

Before we were treated to the first trailer of 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, fans were wondering if the role of T’Challa would be recast or if there were to be an existing character that would become the new hero of Wakanda.
Without giving too much away, those questions were answered with someone close to T'Challa temporarily stepping into his shoes and a post-credit scene teased what the future of the series may hold.
We know that Black Panther 3 (currently not its official name) is on the way, but many fans are wondering if T’Challa will be recast, and I’m pleased to say that he won't.
As reported by AVClub.com (via ComicBook), current Marvel Studios executive Nate Moore, who’s parting ways with the company after producing Black Panther 3, has debunked rumours that there will be a new T’Challa.

“The truth is, there’s no truth to those rumours. Never say never to anything; we haven’t really had a lot of creative conversations with Ryan Coogler yet, because he’s finishing his film Sinners, which comes out this year,” Moore told ComicBook.
“We’ll get into it later this year, but everything you read online is not true, if for no other reason than we just haven’t started [working on it].”
Sure, we’ll no doubt get a new Black Panther, but I think most of us would probably agree that the MCU role of T’Challa should only belong to Chadwick Boseman.
At the time of writing, Black Panther 3 does not have a release date.
