Marvel is forcing Deadpool and Wolverine together again for yet another team-up, which makes sense given how hyped up the film was.
The merc-with-a-mouth and the Weapon X program’s greatest creation are cut from the same cloth, yet they’re almost always at each other’s throats about something.
They did okay in Deadpool & Wolverine though…
Given the boost in popularity from their first Marvel Cinematic Universe outing it’s only natural that fans would want more, a new comic series is delivering just that.

Simply titled Deadpool/Wolverine, the new comic series will once again force the pair into working together, which is always a recipe for chaos as they’re both very different personalities.
The comic has been written by Benjamin Percy with the art coming from Joshua Cassera, both of which have a history across various X-Men series.
Speaking to IGN about the upcoming comic, Percy said: “The film was both a hit and a hoot, but we started working on this series long before we ever saw Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds tear each other apart in a Honda Odyssey … So I can’t say it was an influence, but I can say the dynamic between the characters will feel familiar to theatregoers: fun, thrilling, and both adversarial and bro-mancey (not to mention violent as hell).”
You can find a sneak-peek of the comic’s premiere issue online, showing the two heroes fighting thugs as well as each other, in almost comical fashion since neither of them can die.

The first issue will launch on 1 January 2025, and is available to preorder now if you’re interested in catching it when it first drops.
Of course this begs the question what the MCU has planned for Deadpool and Wolverine next, as they’ll surely play a part in Avengers: Secret Wars right?
